Quick Start Guide

Welcome to BlogWatch! This guide will help you get started with monitoring your first blog in just a few minutes.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you'll need:

• A BlogWatch account (sign up at blogwatch.app)
• The URL of a blog or website you want to monitor

Step 1: Create Your First Monitor

1. Log in to your BlogWatch dashboard

2. Click the "New Monitor" button

3. Enter the following information:

   • Name: A friendly name for your monitor (e.g., "Tech Blog")
   • URL: The blog's homepage or RSS feed URL
   • Frequency: How often to check (we recommend hourly for active blogs)

4. Click "Create Monitor"

Step 2: Configure Monitoring Settings

After creating your monitor, you can customize how it works:

Check Frequency

• Every hour: Best for high-traffic blogs
• Every 6 hours: Good for moderately active sites
• Daily: Suitable for blogs that post less frequently

Content Parsing

BlogWatch automatically detects:

• Article titles and URLs
• Publication dates
• Author information
• Article excerpts

Notifications

Enable notifications to stay informed:

• Email alerts for new content
• In-app notifications

Step 3: View Your First Results

Once your monitor runs its first check:

1. Go to the Monitors page
2. Click on your monitor's name
3. View the Content tab to see discovered articles

Each article shows:

• Title and link
• Publication date
• Brief excerpt
• SEO metrics

Step 4: Generate AI Insights

Take advantage of our AI features:

1. Select an article from your content list
2. Click "Run Check Now"
3. Choose your preferred AI model
4. Review the generated insights
